TV show romances keep us watching week after week, sometimes because we can’t get enough of them, other times because we just want them to break up already. But some on-screen relationships will always be our favorites and a new study reveals which ones they are.

  • CS gaming site Clash.gg analyzed Google search data to find the most popular TV couples in the U.S., based on the average number of searches over the last year.
  • They looked for relationship-related terms combined with couples’ names, like “Ross and Rachel endgame.”
  • And it turns out, number one on the list is a classic. Lois and Clark from “Smallville” are the TV couple Americans love most, with 31,121 average monthly searches.
  • Another old school couple comes in second, Lucy and Ricky from “I Love Lucy.”
