Garth Brooks Bought Part Of The Vanderbilt Goal Post For His Bar

Where do you put something like this, hang it over the bar? Garth Brooks decided to lay out some money to give his "Friends In Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk" a little more "local flair." A couple weeks ago, Vanderbilt University scored perhaps the greatest football win in the school's history, beating top-ranked #1 Alabama. After the win, the students stormed the field, tore the goalpost down in celebration and paraded it three miles through downtown Nashville before throwing it in the Cumberland River. That stunt scored the school a costly $100-thousand fine from the SEC, and to cover that, they decided to auction off chunks of the goalpost. Enter Garth. On his "Inside Studio G" this week, Garth revealed they bought the pads from the goalpost to put in his bar. "It’s going to be in Sevens Club up there. We’ll see how many we can get the guys to sign it."
