Thinking about making a move, but you’re not sure where to relocate? New research from Niche.com has some ideas. Their 11th annual ranking of the Best Places to Live in America has just come out, revealing the top cities, neighborhoods and suburbs in the country.
- To determine the best cities to live in, Niche looks at the overall livability of cities with a population of 100-thousand or more.
- Cities were rated on factors including affordability, quality of schools, crime rates, housing trends, walkability, employment stats and access to amenities.
- For the second year in a row, Naperville, Illinois, is number one.
- The Chicago suburb is Niche’s Best City to Live In America thanks to a combination of affordable housing, excellent public schools and easy access to outdoor activities.
- Coming in second is The Woodlands, Texas, which earns an A+ for both public schools and being good for families.
- The report also finds that Texas is the most affordable state to live in overall, as it has “the most spots in the top 100 for best cities to buy a house and cities with the lowest cost of living.”
