"American Idol" Contestant Blames Carrie Underwood For Dumping Her Over Taylor Swift Connection

Presley Cash is (or was) a a contestant on the current season of "American Idol." We say "was" because she, like many, many others, didn't make the cut. But unlike many others, she has a big music industry connection that she feels cost her in the eyes of judge Carrie Underwood. Cash appeared in music videos for Taylor Swift’s "Mean" and "I Can See You." After getting the boot from "AI," Cash had thoughts. On Tik Tok, she said of her audition, "Little did I know I was about to go in front of the American Idol judges after six months of grooming from producers saying how amazing of a singer/songwriter I was and [they] loved my work with Taylor. Just to have Carrie Underwood say I can’t sing and I can’t hang in Hollywood." Fans had questions for Cash, including "If you’re so talented with so much experience and love from TS, why do you need American Idol?" Another comment included, "You’re failing to mention how you auditioned for 'The Voice' [three] times and didn’t make it. It takes more than one “no” to not make it (past) the judges on Idol, but sure let’s smear Carrie Underwood."
