There's all sorts of reasons a performer will cancel a show. They don't like doing it and the fans hate it, but when they're sick, or Mother Nature messes things up, it's unavoidable. This is probably the first time in their storied career that Brooks & Dunn...or, anyone, basically...had to cancel a show for an exploding manhole cover. The duo was forced to reschedule the very first show in their "Neon Moon Tour 2025" last night in Lubbock, Texas, because there was an explosion at a manhole that caused a series of fires and widespread power outages across the Texas Tech campus. The school issued a mass evacuation, canceled classes and announced the closure of the Lubbock campus yesterday and today...and that also meant canceling the concert. The duo did announce that the show would be made up next Thursday night, and refunds would be available for those that couldn't make the concert.
Brooks & Dunn’s performance at United Supermarkets Arena originally scheduled for tonight, March 13, has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 20, due to the events on the Texas Tech University campus in Lubbock on Wednesday, March 12.
