Ordinarily a new mic stand wouldn't make news, but when it's stood in front of the biggest names in American music for a century, it bears noting when it's replaced. The Grand Ole Opry is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, and part of that was a new look to its iconic mic stand. For only the fifth time in its storied history, the Opry has redesigned the stand, posting a video unveiling the new look featuring Jelly Roll, Scotty McCreery, The War and Treaty and more. Once in place, Vince Gill broke in the new mic stand with a live performance. See Vince Gill christen the new mic stand (and get a closer look at it) below
